The Lair of a Phantom WIP"You try my patience, make your choice," the Phantom snarled, breathing heavily as he glanced briefly at the incarcerated Vicomte de Chagny. Christine, tears welling in her eyes bit her lip, refraining from saying anything more, at least without a second thought. She loved this man, Raoul. Yet deep in the clutches of her heart, she felt pity for the Phantom.
Letting out a soft breath, Christine whispered, "Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known?" As she waded into the grimy water of the underground channel, she continued, mostly to herself, "God give me courage to show you, you are not alone-" Wrapping her arms around Erik's neck, she pulled him close and locked her lips around his.
Astonished by this gentle, loving act, the Phantom grew stock still in her arms, cold green eyes widening a fraction. It was far from what he expected... She would give her life for the life of Raoul? Throughout his life, he had never experienced this growing pain in his chest
Red EyeJackson looked down briefly, observing the scar with unspoken curiosity. "Did someone do this to you?" he inquired, his intense gaze returning to Lisa's.
"No," Lisa breathed, though Jackson still appeared unconvinced after he glanced back at the scar.
"Is that what it is?" he repeated more fiercely.
After staring into his gaze defiantly, she replied with a shaky, "No."
His face contorted slightly as if in disgust or irritation, and he continued, "You know what I think?" Pivoting on his heel, Jackson swung Lisa around by the shoulders before slamming her sharply into the wall. "I don't think you're such an honest person." Lisa gasped for breath, screwing her eyes closed as the connection of the wall and her spine tingled up her body. Light-headed. But it wasn't over. Jackson, pushing her against the wall with his hands locked firmly about her neck, hissed, "I've been following you for eight weeks, and I haven't once seen you buy anything but a f***ing Sea Breeze."
"I c-an't breath," Lis
Love Never Dies finale
The scarlet lifeblood spread, darkening her blouse to a crimson. In spite of this, she focused on the Phantom, smiling faintly despite the agony that seared through her chest. "Come closer, I beg you," Christine breathed. "Closer still." As the Phantom deferred to her request, Christine leaned as close as she could to whisper, "Remember, love never dies Kiss me one last time."
The Phantom cradled her close before bending down and locking his lips around hers. The kiss was fierce and yet gentle all the same. Christine's grip weakened until she grew still, eyes flickering closed. A knot formed in the Phantom's throat as she fell limp in his embrace, the color already draining from her face.
This content was referenced from the ending to "Love Never Dies" by Andrew Lloyd Webber. "Love Never Dies" takes place ten years after the finale of "The Phantom of the Opera". The Phantom is still composing wondrous music, however only Christine's voice satisfies his melodious creed. Raoul de C
